A Quick Little Kitchen Project

Last week I drove past a garage sale and saw this shelf for $2. I'd been looking for a little something for the kitchen to hold spices and such next to the stove. Perfect.

Brought it home, cleaned it, painted it a white/cream color (70 cents in the clearance isle at Hobby Lobby), nailed some brackets on the back, and mounted to the wall.

Simple, and only took part of one nap time and a bit of an evening.

Hanging above the stove is the sign I painted a few years back after I saw a similar (expensive) one in a shop and loved it. And the great thing is it really ties everything together with the lovely 70's avocado green kitchen fixtures ;)

Thanks, Mom, for the pretty little jars, and thank you, Anne, for the adorable 'Tea' tin!
