family fun

Anne and Mom came to visit NYC recently and we had a blast. As usual, our time revolved around eating.

Penelope is a new favorite at 30th and Lexington. The atmosphere is wonderful and the food even better.

Thinking about food...

Frozen hot chocolate at Serendity. So expensive, but really so good.

I gave Anne an emmy for her outstanding performance as a sister.

We stopped eating at one point to go to the taping of the David Letterman show. We had connections so we got to go down on the stage after the taping for a photo opp at Dave's desk. We also got to sit in on rehearsal before the show and listen to the musical guest, The Good, the Bad, and the Queen, play (one song, over and over and over)
Dave likes to keep the theater at 45 degrees, even when it is 40 degrees outside, so that felt good.

we each needed our turn behind the desk, of course.

Paul, the music man.

Julie wasn't here, but I didn't want her to feel left out.

A quaint French Cafe in Chelsea... La Bergamote? We were pleased with the culinary delicacies they had to offer.

A perfect backdrop: cases of freshly made pastries.

We love our family!
